Online Curriculum

The Aquarium provides a complimentary standards-based curriculum online for teachers. At-home learning and virtual modifications have recently been added to these activities.

Onsite Activities

Test your students’ knowledge at the Aquarium with onsite activities, like scavenger hunts and more! Activities are tailored by grade to accommodate all age levels.

Professional Development

Educators of grades 6–12 are invited to join us at the Boeing Learning Lab at the Charleston Maritime Center on October 25 for Exploring the Deep Ocean with NOAA — a full-day professional development workshop with a NOAA Ocean Exploration facilitator. Together we’ll dive into the importance of ocean exploration and into the tools and technologies used to conduct expeditions in some of the most remote places on the planet.  

Registration is required and space is limited. Registered educators will receive a NOAA Ocean Exploration Certificate of Participation, a $100 stipend and a collection of classroom-ready resources to continue exploring the deep ocean with NOAA. 

This NOAA Ocean Exploration professional development for educators is offered in partnership with the South Carolina Aquarium and the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation.
